When using Windows 8 in desktop mode you can dreaming of Internet Explorer in order to avoid Modern UI version of the browser.
There are many new features of Microsoft Windows 8.1, which are ideal for tablets and touch devices, but they can be a nuisance for users of desktop computers. In all this is a major complaint among many users at Windows 8 however, many of these small inconveniences can be avoided simply by proper configuration. If you are using Internet Explorer desktop version, this change should be one of the first to be carried out in Windows 8.1.
By default, when you click on the link in the Windows 8.1 interface Modern UI, Internet Explorer will open the page in a IE version of the Modern UI. Page opens in the browser in full screen mode without the navigation buttons, address bar, etc.
To configure Internet Explorer to open all links in the Desktop version of IE, you need to make changes in the Internet Properties window:
- On the Start screen, type "Control Panel" and press Enter.
- On control panel screen, click Internet Options, and go to the Programs tab ( view all icons ).
- The first part has a drop-down menu tab, click it and change the entry to Always Use Internet Explorer in Desktop version.
I think that Firefox, Chrome, Opera and others can be configured similarly if there will be released and only if corresponding versions of Modern UI those browsers.
